About

This photo was taken in my early forties on a happy day in New York City. I had no idea that, within a few weeks, my life would change forever.

I’m the mama of grown children, grand-mama of little ones, writer, teacher, and Christian who knows what it’s like for life to take a turn you never expected. The kind of turn that leaves you navigating grief, fear, overwhelm—and, practically speaking, trying to understand how in the world you’re meant to begin again.

If you’re in that place, I understand.

Re-Creating a Beautiful Life was born out of this conviction:

Your story is not over.

God restores.
He redeems.
He creates beauty out of ashes.

The Lord meets us right in the middle of the mess and begins to rebuild us—not only back to where we were, but into something beautiful and new.

Frequently asked questions

Where did you get the name "Re-Creating a Beautiful Life"?

Many years ago, when I was married and raising my children, I had a little blog called Creating a Beautiful Life. However, as my marriage began to unravel, I chose not to continue. After my divorce, I assumed that my dream of writing and helping other women live their own beautiful, meaningful lives would never come again.

However, over time, the Lord began to give me a new idea — that beauty could be rebuilt, not just created. That He could redeem what was broken and write new chapters after loss. That’s when the name came to me: Re-Creating a Beautiful Life.

Only now, after deep spiritual, emotional, and practical restoration, has that early vision come full circle. This new site and the resources I’m creating are the fruit of the quiet work God has done in my life for years. And what a joy it is now to share hope with women who are rebuilding their own stories.

Why are your resources specifically Christian?

All women are welcome here. My focus is Christian because, when I was navigating divorce, I found it challenging to find resources that spoke directly to my situation. Many secular sources offered helpful ideas, but none that factored in my faith.

The writing and resources I’m creating specifically for Christian women emerged from that gap. They are rooted in God’s Word and His redemptive power.
